ABOUT

HOGARTH are a music duo made up of Felix Stephens (producer, cellist) and Finn Lacey (singer) based in London. Having met at school, Hogarth began making music taking influence from Classical, Indie pop and Bossa nova. Produced in Felix’s studio (shed) they cultivate a sound similar to the 60s sunshine classics of scorching California. The songs are characterised by fragmented latin percussion, close intimate vocals with a wistful undertone of 21st century bubblegum pop. The lyrics explore themes of stinted coming of age. A ‘Peter Pan’ band if you like.  Their debut single Chin up and Smile has a  music video based on the Coen Brothers film O Brother, where art thou? preempting the arrival of their debut EP Hogarth! on August 21st. Both Felix and Finn are in their final years of study at The Guildhall and The University of York respectively, and will be based in London from Autumn to work on new projects.
